About

Founded in 2008, the Merrimack Valley Homebrew Club (MVHBC) is a network of homebrewers spanning across northeastern Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire. Members meet monthly to sample their latest brews, offer recipe suggestions, and to discuss the latest trends in brewing. It is important to emphasize why our club gets together as often as it does: to help one another brew great tasting beer.

The knowledge our brewers have in this rewarding (and delicious) hobby span from novice to veteran, so we welcome all levels of expertise. As a bonus, MVHBC is home to multiple members that are a regional or national judge within the Beer Judge Certification Program. Styles that our brewers focus on are extract, partial mash, grain, cider, and mead.

Monthly meetings can take place at a variety of locations. Most often, members open their homes to host an MVHBC meeting. Brewery visits and club field trips are also planned in advance!

Club Membership

Yearly dues are $35 per club member. As a member of MVHBC, you will have access to all club events, our member-only Facebook page, club competitions, brew days, club outings, club group grain buy, and much more. You will also be eligible for various club awards, including our prestigious Brewer of the Year. Members receive frequent feedback and tips from seasoned brewers so they can further improve their craft.

If you would like more information, please contact either the club president or vice president. You are also welcome to attend one of our public meetings.
